MADRE is a non profit organization that works with communities to address issues of violence against women. MADRE does much more than document and condemn abuses. We work with women to help them win justice and, ultimately, change the conditions that give rise to human rights abuses.

Domestic violence is often hidden from friends
and family. To expose it, we created a floor graphic reacts to the footprint of pedestrians. As people ignore the image and walk over the women face,
a transparent adhesive material will start to fade
and revealing a hidden message and signs of domestic violence.
